Step 1 - Join the meeting
The facilitator will ask you to join their flowtopic meeting and send you a link. Once you’ve got the link, sign into your flowtopic account and join the meeting. If the facilitator is using the “waiting room” feature, you might have to wait a bit for them to let you in.
Step 2 - Start adding topics
When you join a flowtopic meeting during the gathering phase, the facilitator will prompt you to add new topics. These topics make up the agenda for the meeting. You can add whatever you want, that’s the whole point of a Lean Coffee meeting.
Step 3 - Vote on topics
The next phase of the meeting, voting, is where participants decide what they want to talk about most. Use your votes to say which topics are most important to you.
Step 4 - Discuss the topics
In the discussion phase of the meeting you’ll get to talk about each topic for a few minutes. The whole group discusses each topic until time runs out, or the discussion ends.
Step 4.1 - Vote to continue discussion
When the time box for a topic runs out, the facilitator will ask the group to vote. This vote determines if the group will continue discussing the current topic or move on to the next topic.
Step 5 - You’re all done
Once the group has discussed all topics, or the meeting time box has expired, the meeting is over. You can reference the topics discussed in the meeting by visiting the meeting again later.
